Busy Little Bluebird

This is me, my name is Becca and I am the owner of Busy Little Bluebird. I work part time and in the time that I am not at work I am working on this. I am also mum to an amazing little human of the toddler variety. Her name means 'little bird', she is constantly busy and she says that her favourite colour is blue hence the name Busy Little Bluebird.

This started out as a small craft project and an attempt to try something new and to do something just for me. I have always loved crafts and being creative in some form and it felt like an eternity since I last found time to do anything even remotley artistic, so I gave sewing and felt flower making a try one evening and loved it. I quickly became far too excited about where the possibilities might take me (I tend to get a little carried away...) and so here we are.

I have some big ideas and plans to grow my little business so thank you for your support and look out for new developments!

Our Ethos

Here at Busy Little Bluebird we care passionately about;

The Environment

It is where my inspiration comes from and nature is my little ones favourite place to be. It is our job to protect it, not only for ourselves but for our future generations which is why I try to put a lot of thought into where I source resources, the type of materials that I use and try to use natural, sustainable materials whenever possible. All packaging and labelling used by Busy Little Bluebird is recyclable, reusable, biodegradable or compostable.

Health & Wellbeing

I am a huge believer in the amazing effects and health benefits that nature can have on peoples physical health, mental health and wellbeing. I love spending time in nature and around plants and water, this is my calm place. This hopefully comes through in the materials I use and the plants and flowers I try to celebrate in my products as well as the aromatherapy based products that I am currently working on.

    Self care is so important, do more of what makes you happy and remember that the grass is greener where you water it!

People

I have always loved working with people, especially if it is in a capacity where I can do something to make someone happy or help in some way. Kindness costs nothing, talking is important and self care is necessary. I am Mental Health First Aid trained and a Time to Talk Champion and crafting is also part of my own and many others self care routine so I am working on finding ways to incorporate some of this through Busy Little Bluebird in the future when lockdown resrictions allow again.
